Virtual Stages are stages without any corresponding displays. Remember, you can use a keyboard shortcut to show or hide the stages (Command-G on macOS or Ctrl+G on Windows). You can manually assign this display to stages, but doing so may obscure your computer desktop when the stage is displayed. Isadora automatically skips using this display for stage assignments unless the maximum number of displays has been reached. The built-in screen on a laptop computer or the monitor of a desktop system is often used for control and editing purposes, rather than video output, and appears as Display 1 (the “main display”).
