You could try to implement a full web server on the Mega's AVR processor, but that will be painful and the resulting server will be slow. Has anybody done anything along the lines I've discussed? It's all looking like a very big job just to get started.

Presumably if I replace this with my own, the configuration will no longer happen and I haven't found the Python executable yet. I'm using a MEGA 2560 AVR, so there is enough room on the AVR side to implement all of the server and all of the code to process the POST responses (in C++) if the appropriate data could be directed through the bridge.Īlternatively, most of the processing could be done on the YUN using Python scripts (I don't know Python but I'm willing to learn) if Python could be persuaded to access the SD card on my datalogger shield. To do this the Web server would have to properly deal with GET and POST requests and responses from the browser. I would like to implement a small web server on the 'YUN V1.x Shield /AVR/Datalogger shield' combo that can serve forms out of the SD card to an external browser and manipulate files on the SD card. Most of the code I have seen assumes that the YUN will connect to a web server to upload data or there is a trivial example of the YUN accessing pins through the bridge by means of specific URLs such as /arduino/mode/13/input.
